Day #85
I’m too tired to think at the moment so here’s the basics…
Cute top hat by Bubbles and Frown
Lingerie by Posh Fairytale Couture
Good lord she’s beautiful. I really love the colors they throw out.

Outtake from Day #78 of A Year Without Clothes
Now I know how the kitten learned to get up there:)
Stodeya
Didn’t know
whether to
rhyme this
though
it matters
not
cause an ode is an ode
it’s often been told:
A balls to the wall
crush
not a crunch of crust
But
A full blown pie
A la mode.
This one owes
life
to that snapshot
taken
almost like
a half drunk
side skipped stone
that sliced
across the
graydullmurkydead pond of my day.
Circus Queen of the Mortuary
Wrapped
in ghost black
down
to the frilly
third quarter
of that ivory
apple bottom
with an obsidian
arrowhead
cover for your
curved crack.
Legs
like hatchet hilts
molded to grip
the sky and
spark straddle steel circus circles
but Made
to crush skulls
when the correct tongues
are spoken
at your crux.
Hair like
it don’t care
slow spreading open
like a spun up
paper umbrella
for a fancy baby
and in the background
rumpled bed sheets
perhaps
the remains of
some fella
or hella lady.
O
(always gotta have a standalone O in an ode)
that I could step
from this side
of the camera’s
eye glass
into that room
cause I could
write you 42
more odes
about the meaning
of a life spent
grabbing that ass.
Day #74
Day #74
This weekend was a most peculiar experience indeed. I have just arrived home from an escape off to the wilderness with a bunch of friends for a birthday celebration. I knew to expect a certain level of insanity, which I struggle with recently because I have been in such a self disciplined sober mood, however I was excited to see my friends and braved the somewhat intimidating adventure. Overall I had such a beautiful time, but part of me left feeling un-grounded and overwhelmed emotionally. On the way home I got in touch with Patrick, my wonderful friend and meditation teacher ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/354387221256508/) and asked that he join me for rooftop yoga and meditation. I expect this is what I needed more than anything else in the world. We went up to the roof and enjoyed precarious yoga atop one of the elevator shaft boxes, which are only about 12 x12 feet wide. When we were upside down in downward dog, the color of the roof melted into the grey of the sky and it seemed as though we were floating above the city on yoga mats. It was very disorienting and liberating to resist the fear that we were going to fall off the edge! Afterwards we sat in a state of meditative storytelling and the earth below us became illuminated with an electric light show of energy. I am not going to talk about setting intentions, manifesting anything, or my aura, because I have had enough of that for a lifetime. But I will say that being up there above downtown LA looking at the beautiful sky and sitting in meditation was incredibly beautiful and magical, and I feel so lucky to have spent my evening that way :-)

I love the ones that are so different from each other. You have warm hippie on one side and the other is stark cold, heel booted boom.
A slightly different take on Day #72 of A Year Without Clothes.
I love how this is perfectly out of focus.
Day #71
This photo set was inspired by this super playful lingerie set created by Rachel of Posh Fairy Tale Couture ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/PoshFairytaleCouture). Yellow and pink is a color palette that definitely speaks to me, I feel it is circus-y and childish and rambunctious and sexy. I was excited to realize I had a set of Minnie Mouse ears to match, which are in my etsy shoppe! (http://www.BubblesAndFrown.etys.com). I am so so exhausted right now, so pardon my off kilter approach to language. Good night! Lucky and I just got done shooting a few photos to post this weekend as I will be out of town at a fire infested nature-y yoga retreat mystical magical birthday party in the desert! Thank goodness for vacation, I am so looking forward to being outdoors.- Sylva
